Easy Tips For Muscle Building For Women

Muscle building for women needs more focus than men. Why? Because women have more difficulty building muscles than men. If you're a woman and you want to build muscles, you have to pay more attention to your diet and workout for building muscles. Unlike men, women go through changes in their body during pregnancy and menopause. But with proper planning and preparation, muscle building for women can be successful. Here are some tips for women about building muscles:
Muscle Building For Women
Arrange a workout program that accords with your lifestyle. You don't have to go to the gym to build muscles, especially if you have to or want to workout at home. You can use a spare room or space in your house as a home gym. Exercising in the pool is a workable option as well.
Your strength training exercises should be diverse. You need to work your body as a whole in order to build muscles, that's why you have to do different kinds of exercises during you workout schedules in a week. Always note that you have to give your muscles a minimum of 48 hours of rest after you've worked them out. It's during this rest period that your muscles are able to develop strength. While you're not lifting on your rest days, your muscles grow stronger.
Exercise in the pool. Swimming is a great cardio exercise. It also makes your upper body stronger. Water exercises that are ideal with strength training are core workouts and ball training. You can even walk or run in the pool, and these are good examples of basic resistance training exercises. These exercises strengthen parts of your body that you tend to neglect when strength training.
Exercise for 3 to 5 times weekly. You can work out in a gym or set-up an exercise area in an available space or room in your house. You'll need to use traditional weight tools such as barbells or dumbbells. These are workout equipments that'll help you build muscles. For starters, you can workout in your home gym. Many people are coaxed into shifting into a total muscle building regimen from there.
Use heavy weights when you're training in the gym. Don't fret so much about looking bulky when you're lifting heavy weights. It's actually an easier way to build muscles. Consider these different approaches when you're weight lifting:
  • Use a weight that you'll be able to handle at 5 to 6 repetitions for every set. The weight you'll be choosing depends on your strength as a beginner.
  • Stick to doing 3 main weight training workouts that you can perform regularly. These workouts should include dead lifts, bench presses and squats.
  • Do 5 to 6 repetitions of 3 sets and rest for 2 to 3 minutes after doing each set. Two to 3 minutes of rest will enable you to recuperate if you're doing your exercises properly.
Don't spend long hours working out in the gym. Your workout time at the gym should be set to a minimum. You don't need to stay there for 2 hours doing long one repetition after the other. Although it increases your endurance, remember that muscle building for women requires short but hard exercises.

Quick And Effective Kettlebell Workouts For Women

Good news for busy women who want to stay fit despite their hectic lifestyle: now you can achieve your health goals by exercising for just a few minutes a day using kettlebells. These ball-shaped weights have rapidly risen to become a fad in the world of fitness, especially among women.
Below are the different kettlebell workouts for women that you can try out. By doing these trainings, you obtain maximum results with just a very minimal risk of injury, unlike the use of other workout tools. Addressing both strength and cardio training, these workout routines with kettlebells can be done in just 20 minutes to achieve fat loss or muscle tone improvement.
Warm-up
For each of these exercises, position your feet about one foot apart.
1. For the back and abs - Hold the kettlebell with both hands and raise it overhead, maintaining an abs-tight, shoulders-down, and chest-forward position. Then, rotate your hips clockwise 8 times. These rotations should slightly propel the kettlebell overhead to make small circles, too. Repeat this for another 8 counts, then switch to a counter-clockwise rotation.
2. For shoulders and arms - Secondly, stand with knees slightly bent. Hold your kettlebell with your right hand and swing your right arm forward. Then, quickly reach out with your left arm to receive the kettlebell and swing your left arm to your back. Quickly reach back with your right hand to receive the kettlebell and swing the weight forward. Repeat this process for about 20 seconds.
Kettlebell Workouts For Women
Main Exercise
1. For hip, thigh, and butt - Position your feet about half a meter apart. Shift to a squat position and hold kettlebell with both hands. Swing kettlebell back toward the space between the legs, then swing back up in front of you while you stand from squat position. Repeat about 45 times, then do a single-arm swing for one minute each arm.
2. For butt, arms, and legs - Hold kettlebell with right hand. Step right foot forward and bend the knee at a right angle, to create a lunge position with your right leg. While in that position, pass kettlebell under your right thigh from your right hand to be received by the left hand. Shift back to standing position. Then, lunge forward with left leg this time (again creating a right angle with the knee) and pass kettlebell under the left thigh from the left hand to the right, then back to standing position. Repeat this 18 times per leg.
Cool-down
For your cool-down routine, you can opt to repeat the warm-up routine and do it slowly but without the kettlebell involved. Here are some other options if you prefer something else. If you prefer the normal cool-down routine, you can go for the classic shoulder stretch, hip stretch, and hamstring stretch.
According to kettlebell users, this routine burns pounds off the body within just weeks of doing the workouts religiously. Fat loss and muscle toning can even be ushered in faster by doing 20 minutes of cardio exercises (such as running, jogging, dancing, swimming) every other day. The kettlebell provides a great and productive exercise experience for those women who do not have time to go to the gym and lift weights. Fat-burning and body-toning can now be done within just the confines of the house or office.

Six Pack Abs For Women - 3 SECRETS!

So ladies, you want a 6 pack.
Well believe it or not, it might not be as difficult as you would think. It all boils down to HOW MUCH you want it.
Look, let's get straight to the point here. I want to give you 3 SECRETS about how and how not to achieve that elusive six pack.
Secret 1: You will NEVER achieve a 6 pack by relying on the latest weight loss pill or the latest trendy diet. They just don't work! And you've probably already tried!
Secret 2: You DON'T need to do hundreds of 'crunches' every day or use the latest 'Super Abs Machine' being advertised on the shopping channels
Secret 3: You ALREADY HAVE a six pack!! Yes, it's true, you already possess a six pack, it's just that it's not visible because of the body fat hiding it!
If you are a woman and want to gain an impressive six pack, your main goal needs to be losing the belly fat which is hiding the abdominals from being seen.
Six Pack Abs For Women

And here's another thing, you can't target one particular area of your body for weight loss, it just won't work. You need to lose weight in a controlled manner from all over your body and as this starts to show results then obviously there are certain key exercises which will help accentuate the abs which you are just starting to uncover from below that flabby tummy!
Now achieving this weight loss is a very attainable goal but like anything worthwhile in life, you'll have to put in a bit of effort. Unless you are determined and have a bit of discipline and 'stickability' for the task at hand, you will always just be dreaming of that flat toned stomach which all women want.
But if you are serious about achieving this then you should be really glad that you're reading this article right now.  I have done all the time-consuming research for you and found 2 quite brilliant programs, one focusing on six pack abs in particular and the other on general weight loss which will obviously make your existing abs visible! Both can be accessed through the links at the bottom of this article.
It's good to hear what some others think of programs which I also like and recommend because why should you take my advice when you don't even know me. So here's what Jennifer Nicole Lee, author of The Fitness Model Program(TM) says about the author of the six pack program I've researched for you...
"Vince DelMonte is not only a living transformation specialist for whether you're skinny or chubby (male or female), but a highly regarded fitness expert in his field who I look up to... he will give you the results that you want and deserve, using all techniques necessary to build solid muscle and to get a sleek and sexy six pack"
Both programs which I've uncovered for you contain so much good stuff, there's no point in me even starting to go into details here. You'd be far better just clicking the links below to at least have a look and gain some more free advice in the process.
So, please don't waste your money on any more or ab machines. If you REALLY WANT that sexy six pack, go check out my site where you can get lots of free advice and great tips both on the site itself and also through my 6 part mini-course. You've got nothing to lose! (except hopefully some weight !)

HOW TO BULK AND SHAPE UP LEGS
Cycling, a form of anabolic exercises is actually great for women wishing to bulk up thin legs. What happens is that by biking on rugged pavements (like at a bike trail) and shifting your bike into a more challenging gear, you are forcing you leg muscles that may be under develop to work harder.
With women who particular have a hard time shaping up their legs, after you get a good leg work out that is mainly weight bearing, massage your legs afterwards to stimulate leg growth. Also, make sure you rest up the following day to give your legs time to heal and the leg muscles to grow.

4 Tips For Sexy Summer Abs

Everyone wants a sexy six pack in time for summer. These four tips will get you on track to be ready for the beach to show off your very own set of fab abs.
The number one thing you must do if they want to have a sexy six pack is to eat a clean diet. In a nutshell that means to eat small healthy meals 5-7 times daily. Your diet should consist of lean protein sources such as chicken, turkey and fish, healthy carbohydrates such as oatmeal, sweet potatoes, brown rice and vegetables, healthy fats such as almonds, olive oil and natural peanut butter. Eliminate soda, candy, cookies and other high sugar foods from your diet. These should only be eaten on occasion and in moderation. Also eliminate fast foods, fatty, greasy foods and alcohol (if you do choose to consume alcohol it should be minimal, these empty calories will easily sabotage your fitness goals) from your diet in order to drop fat weight so you can reveal your abs.
Sexy Summer Abs

Secondly you must get a good combination of cardiovascular exercise in addition to strength training. Working with weights allows you to build and maintain muscle which will give your body the shape that you want as well as increase your metabolism. Cardio and aerobic workouts will help you burn off body fat so that you can see the shapely muscles hidden underneath.
Tip number three is to stay consistent. Your body will not change overnight. There is no pill that you can take that will give you phenomenal abdominals. It takes eating right and exercising right on a consistent basis to get the results that you want. To maintain your weight loss you need to develop healthy eating and exercise habits which you can commit to for life. Results of any fad diet that you try will not last a lifetime. The only way to get the body you want and to keep it is through proper nutrition and exercise. Be patient and set mini weight loss goals for yourself every week. The more consistent you are with making healthy eating choices and training on a regular basis with intensity, the faster you will see results.
The fourth key to revealing your sexy summer six pack is to identify you underlying motivation.
Changing eating and exercise habits can be difficult if you don't stay motivated. It's easy to lapse back into old unhealthy habits which will ruin your chances of getting the beach ready body that you are looking for. If being able to visually see your abs were easy to achieve then everyone would be showing off their midsection. If it is something you want for yourself then you can have it, but it is hard work! In order to stay on track during those tough times keep visual reminders of your motivation where you can see them on a daily basis. For example if you want to look great in your swimsuit then put it on a hangar and have it out where you can see it every single day to remind you why you need to make the right choices!
Remember this. Everybody has abs, it's just that most people have layers of fat covering them up. You can do all the crunches and sit ups in the world and you will never see your abdominals if you don't eat properly and do enough cardio to burn off the fat that is hiding your sexy six pack. If you have been consistently exercising and have not seen the results you want the problem lies within your eating habits. 80% of the way that your body looks is dependent on how you fuel it. Follow these four important tips and you will shed your winter weight and be ready to flaunt your fab abs this summer.

Workout Routines for Women - Lift Heavy, Look Fit!

There is a huge misconception in the fitness world that only men should lift heavy weights, and that women should stick to light, "toning" routines. Many women fear they will get big or bulky if they lift heavy. Nonsense! Do you realize how hard it is for MEN to gain muscle mass, even with their testosterone and larger calorie consumption? Nobody, man or woman, will ever get "too big" for their liking on accident.
The truth about workout routines for women is that they should contain mostly heavy lifting! Lifting heavy weights has a variety of benefits for women. First, it helps stimulate the growth of lean muscle tissue. This extra muscle helps create a slim, fit body contour. In other words, it makes you "toned." You can't actually "tone" your muscles with high reps on those little pink dumbbells - you've got to actually build that firm muscle tissue with heavy weights.
Workout Routines for Women
The second benefit of lifting heavy weights it that gaining a few extra pounds of muscle can help burn fat. Muscle is metabolically active tissue, which means it's constantly burning calories. Gain some more muscle, and you'll be able to lose fat more quickly or just eat a little more of the foods you like without consequence!
Third, heavy lifting is a type of exercise that "stays with you" all day. Whereas walking, jogging, and other moderate-paced cardio exercises only burn fat while you're doing them, a hard weights workout will keep your metabolism raised and revving at high speed for the rest of the day.
Finally, workout routines for women should contain plenty of heavy lifting because it's fun! Many people complain about going to the gym not because they're lazy, but because it can be so boring. Given the average workout routine, they're right! Hours of treadmill walking and stair stepping combined with long, high-rep sets of light lifting gets old quick.
Lifting heavy provides a new, fun challenge every time you're in the gym! It may seem weird to think about now, but you'll start to get excited about setting a new personal record on the squat or pushing more weight than you ever have on the bench press. Besides, these workouts take much less time, anyway. Get in, have fun, get your work done quickly, and get on with the rest of your day!
Hopefully you can see that workout routines for women should actually be all about lifting heavy weights and getting stronger. Leave the boring cardio routines for people who can't handle some harder exercise! If you get stronger and eat right, you will develop a slim, lean physique.

How to Gain Weight For Women

This seems like an odd topic for an article, but we are going to talk about how to gain weight for women. You see even though most are looking to lose weight there are some that need to gain a few pounds. Whether you just want to be healthier or get a little curvier you will find the advice here beneficial. It is also important to know that there are two different kinds or meanings of weight. The first one has a negative connotation. This is where people think weight means fat, when in reality it can mean something totally different. This takes us to our second meaning which is lean mass. This is lean muscle that is healthy and looks great.
Gain Weight For Women
Now you will need to start cutting down on your normal cardiovascular exercises. This does not mean cut them out because they are needed for cardiovascular health. It means cut them down because they will keep you too skinny. When learning how to gain weight for women you need to grab the weights and start some resistance training. This is not the bench press 200 pounds type of lifting. You can find many routines that are specific to women. They will help you gain the type of weight that you are looking to add to your frame. Also you should be adding calories to your diet. I suggest starting at 250 extra calories a day and gradually increasing it to 500 more a day. This will coincide with your weight lifting to help you put on the right type of weight.
There are also women specific protein powders that are formulated for women's needs. This can be a very good thing because you want to increase your protein intake to supplement your new workout routine. By following these types you will learn first- hand how to gain weight for women.

Top 4 Benefits of Dumbbell and Bodyweight Exercises For Women

There has been a revolutionary change in women in the past century. They have become very busy. They, on one hand have full time jobs and on the other hand raise a family. It is not at all mandatory to join some gym or perform long workouts for fitness. Despite the busy schedule you can build your body to a perfect shape. You can have your own workouts at home and you just need to have is a pair of dumbbell and your own body weight. A few important benefits of dumbbell and body weight work out routines for women are mentioned below:
Bodyweight Exercises For Women

Benefit 1: Get a Slimmer and Tighter Stomach
Dumbbell & body-weight exercises are usually found to be compound and multi-joint movements. These movements concentrate more on your abdomen than on endless crunches and sit-ups. Never rely exclusively on crunches and sit-ups for a slimmer and tighter belly.
Benefit 2: Save Lot of Money
You need not waste your time and money on a personal trainer, gym memberships, or on expensive equipment. All you need to do is to learn how to train with dumbbell and body weight exercises. Therefore, it is needless for you to spend as much as $50 per session on a good personal trainer and $400 per year on a gym membership.
Benefit 3: No More Excuses
With yourself well trained, imagine being able to work out wherever it is possible for you. If you find a recess in between the meetings in your office, you can have a quick body weight circuit. Even before your breakfast also, you can get a half an hour work out. It is very comfortable to have a body weight and dumbbell exercises literally anywhere and anytime depending on your choice.
Benefit 4: Get Better Results
You can force your body to work hard on learning how to do the super intense workouts. It is all about how hard your workout is and not how long you workout. An hour long, low intense workout yields poor results than a fifteen minute super high intense workout. So, train your body to have super intense workouts for good results.

The Top 5 Most Effective Abdominal Exercises

If you had to pick one part of your body that you would change, what would it be? For many of us the answer is our stomachs. We all want to have ripped abs to complement our Greek god-like physique, but oftentimes the workouts we do are ineffective and merely slow the growth of our belly fat at best. Sound familiar.
The truth is that many people are strongly motivated to lose weight, bulk up, and have a physically fit body, but the reason why they don't is because the exercises that they are doing are not good enough. Luckily, there are abdominal exercises which are proven to be extremely effective in developing core muscle strength, and most of them do not require any sort of equipment at all.
Abdominal Exercises

1) Hanging Leg-Raises: A strenuous exercise, the hanging leg raise is a product of true gymnasts. All you need is a chin-up bar or equivalent setup. Grab the bar with an overhand grip about shoulder width apart, and while bending your knees raise your hips and curl your back as you bring your thighs to your chest. Lower slowly, and repeat.
2) Fat-Bar Holds: Again with a chin-up bar or equivalent, hold onto the bar with an overhand grip and hang with your arms and body completely straight. Hang for as long as possible until you can't hold on any longer, then rest for a minute and repeat. Remember you want to improve your strength, so aim to hang for a longer amount of time during each rep.
3) Overhead Reverse Lunge: All you need for this exercise is a light barbell or long wooden pole or equivalent. Hold the bar high above your head with arms straight, and step backward with one leg and slowly lower your body until your knee is bent at a right angle. Do multiple sets of 15-20 reps with rests in between.
4) Leg Raises: While lying on your back extend your legs and raise them off the floor to the highest degree while keeps your knees only slightly bent. Slowly bring your legs back down towards the ground, at about 6 inches from the ground, curl your legs towards your chest. Repeat 15-20 times.
5) Planks: While in push-up position, bring your arms in close to your chest, elbows tucked in and fists up near your face. Raise your body up off the ground and maintain a straight "plank-like" posture for 60 seconds. Only your toes and forearms should be touching the ground. After each rep, switch positions. Flip over and have your back towards the ground and chest pointing skyward, again only your feet and forearms should be touching. Keep your back straight and hold position for 60 seconds.
These 5 simple exercises can be done in your house or outside which makes them convenient. Also, remember that these abdominal exercises must be executed with proper form. Don't push yourself to do more reps or an extra set of an exercise if you feel like your are unable to do it properly; you'll just end up hurting your body more than helping it.

5 Tips For Women To Develop Lean Muscle Tone

Many women want to improve their fitness levels, partially for health reasons and partially for their overall look. For women who want to look more toned you can do it by building muscle tone and making those muscles much leaner.
Here are the top 5 ways that women can achieve good muscle tone and improve their over-all appearance.
How Build Lean Muscle Tone
Muscle tone improves when the muscle fibers become larger. This is achieved with regular training with weights. Women are often concerned about building muscles mainly because they think that they will develop a bulky male body-builder shape. But men's bodies only develop that way due to the testosterone hormone that has very minimal amounts in women.
Female Bodybuilding
1. More Repetitions When Weight Training
When you are training with weights you need to increase the number of repetitions that you are doing to stretch your muscles even more. A good workout routine would be to lift a reasonable weight for six to twelve repetition sessions.
2. Eat More Protein
Women can also get good body tone by eating a healthy and balanced diet. This includes eating a good amount of protein regardless of whether you are exercising or not. Protein is basically the building blocks for muscles. The more you have the more you can build your muscles. Protein is also fills you up so you'll feel fuller for longer and help you snack less between meals.
3. Reduce Carbohydrates
Even though carbohydrates are a necessary part of a healthy diet, you want to cut down the amount you eat if you are trying to build lean muscle tone. This is not saying to cut them out completely as they help your body release insulin, which is needed for energy and to help with muscle repair.
4. Eat More Vegetables
Eating vegetables are part of a healthy diet. Vegetables are typically low in calories and take a lot of energy to eat and digest. This helps with building muscle tone, particularly if they are eaten raw or just slightly cooked.
5. Limit Your Cardio Exercises
If you're concentrating on building a lean body tone then you need to limit the amount of cardio exercise you do. For example, long distance running actually encourages muscle wastage. Instead of stopping all cardio workouts, you can still build muscle tone by including very short bursts of high intensity runs or cycle workouts.

Best Fat Burning Exercises For Women

In this article, I want to share with you 3 exercises for women who want to lose fat and are not afraid to put in a little effort. These exercises may seem like the sort of exercises men like to do but the fact is that fat is fat and it burns off with the right kind of exercises whether they're performed by a man or a women. The goal of these exercises is to force your body to melt away the fat. Pure and simple. Ready to take action? Good. Let's get started...
Exercises For Women

Exercise #1 - Forward Lunges
This is a great fat burning exercise for women because it not only burns a lot of calories but it also targets the thighs and buttocks, two common feminine trouble spots.
To do a forward lunge you begin by standing straight with both feet close together. Take a step forward with your right leg. The step should be medium in length. Bend your right knee to a 90 degree angle. Make sure to not over bend it. Feel the strain in both thighs and in your buttocks. Rise up and return to your starting position. Repeat this exercise with your left leg.
To make this exercise harder you can hold a dumbbell in each hand.
Exercise #2 - Step jumps
Another great fat burning exercise. You will need an aerobic step to perform this or some kind of sturdy box.
You begin this exercise with one foot on the floor and the other on the step. Switch between your feet back and forth over and over. This can be a powerful cardio workout. You'll be surprised how fast you can build up a sweat with this kind of exercise.
Exercise #3 - Bicep Curl and Shoulder Press
This is a great combination exercise that targets the biceps and shoulders together. You will need a pair of dumbbells for this exercise. Grab a dumbell in each hand and hold them with straight arms at your side. Do a bicep curl with both hands and, in the same motion, do a shoulder press by pushing both dumbbells up over your head. You will soon feel how hard this exercise can be.
Do these 3 exercises and you will burn more calories and fat than before.

Dumbbell Exercises Women Should Do For Better Results

It is a sad fact, but most women go about acquiring weight loss results in the most inefficient ways.

Even when women realize that resistance training is more effective than long, slow cardio for losing body fat and sculpting their bodies, they don't pick the best exercises that would allow them to get more results in less time.

Most women workout using isolation exercises such as bicep curls, triceps kick-backs, crunches, lateral raises, and other ineffective exercises.

I will be blunt just to get the main point across: if you want to lose body fat and sculpt lean, sexy muscle, you absolutely must choose the best dumbbell exercises.

The following list will provide the best dumbbell and bodyweight exercises that you should do to transform you body in the least amount of time possible. I am including bodyweight exercises as well because they are incredibly effective and should definitely be included in your workouts.

Now that you know the best dumbbell and bodyweight exercises that will get you more results in less time, you are ready for a sample workout. As you will see, the sample workout will include one exercise from the groups above. This will allow you to work every single muscle in your body each time you workout.

-1 Arm DB Push Press x 12 each side

-Two Point DB Row x 12

Perform each exercise back to back taking rest breaks only as needed. You want to keep moving as much as possible because this is more effective for burning body fat. Repeat the circuit for a total of three to five rounds.

Dumbbell Workout for Women 2:

-DB Bulgarian Split Squats x 8 each leg

-DB Chest Press x 8

-Chin-ups x 8 (if you can't perform a chin-up, use the assisted version where you have your feet on a box and use leg drive to assist you. This is much more effective than a lat pulldown)

-1 Arm DB Snatch x 5

Once again, perform each exercise one right after the other with minimal rest. Repeat the circuit for a total of three to six times.

Great Abdominal Exercises For Women

A known university bio mechanics laboratory conducted a study. They have confirmed that the most completing Ab Workouts for Women is easier than first imagined. There were exercises evaluated and assessed determining thirteen types of different workouts starting with a well-known abdominal crunch. These ended with complex exercises involving the use of gym equipment at home.
By working on the lower abs, you will find that this is the best workout for flattening a stomach. Vertical knee raises would be the required equipment at the gym for this exercise. An Swiss ball or pillow could also be used at home.
When using the abdominal exercise machine, you should stand with your back to the pad and place your arms on the armrests. Hold the handles in a tight grip. Lift your knees slowly towards your elbows and hold them there for a short while. Complete this slowly and repeat twenty times. Doing it slowly is the key to success. It was reported that Bruce Lee thought of this as his power exercise, therefore men can also do this.
Michelle Lewin
Do not overdo this exercise as only later in the day will pain be experienced from completing the workout. By slowly introducing this into the training regime, your abs will soon enough start to tone and tighten.
These can also be completed at home if your gym is inaccessible. This can be completed with ab slings or with a vertical knee raise station. Using ab slings, elbows should be placed into ab slings after the person has hooked up onto a chin up bar. The hands will go on the straps and the knee raises can begin. The vertical knee raise station provides much more support for the back than the ab slings.
One can also use an Swiss ball or a cushion or pillow to flatten the tummy. Your gluteus maximus goes onto the ball or cushion, both feet placed on the floor about one foot apart in distance, now lean back onto the cushion or ball. By raising the torso slightly there will be a crunch completed.
Simple leg lift is the next exercise that can be completed anywhere. You need to lay down flat on the floor and then raise your legs up in the air. Try keeping your legs up for as long as possible and then resting them. You can repeat this exercise. There are several different ab exercises for women. 2 Secrets You Must Be Doing in a Female Abs Workout

If you have been dieting for a while(a few years) and still are not getting the desired results you would like when it comes to losing weight the healthy way, then my friend, I hope this article helps you on your journey.
First of all let's talk about how much weight you would ideally like to loose? You must understand that if you are really serious about losing weight then you have to change the way you think. Yes, it all comes down to your thinking pattern!
Everyone knows that the older you get the slower your metabolism works. This is true but you can train your metabolism to speed up and work for you, burning carbs all through the night. That is what you want. Everyone seems to focus on the one hour workout and tends to forget the 23hours left in the day.
One way to help increase your metabolism is, to snack more during the day. Yep, roughly every two hours you want to have a snack. Doing this as well as taking in more water will help speed things up.

This will feel like you are eating a lot more at the start but trust me, once you get things into a habit it just becomes natural, and you feel like you have continuous energy through out the day.
More on that later.
Now exercises......everyone seems to hate working out???
I really don't understand why you would not want to! The benefits are endless.
"But, you already know this don't you". The trick to working out is going through the threshold of your initial first weeks training. After that everything will flow for you. When working your abs, you can't just lie there and do ab crunches.. This will not help you lose weight around the mid-section.
Firstly:
Intensity is the key to any workout. For years I would go to the gym and workout for 40-50mins feeling like I had a good session. But it wasn't until I discovered, if you just push yourself for the full 40mins you will see the benefits so, so much faster!
If you are just beginning, walking, running, cycle, whatever it is you are doing, put some intensity into it. You should be sweating a lot!
Secondly:
Eating!
"Yep", you need to start watching what you eat; you soon learn that what ever you put into your body you have to work it off, and after a while of doing this you'll learn to feel your body a lot more, you can actually feel the fatty foods affecting your energy levels.
This is only the start, would you like to know more?
"Hold on to your pants because your life is about to change".

Abs Are Sexy!

I am sure that many of you have watched numerous ab commercials suggesting products that would land you the perfect set of abs. You have probably wasted tons of cash on worthless products. I know I have. Do you know what you are doing every time you purchase one of these items? You are buying a dream. A dream that most likely will never become reality. In my opinion, there is no easy way to obtain six pack abs. You have to work at it. It is an ongoing process unless you were genetically blessed.
In order to develop your six pack, you will need to exercise regularly and set a strict diet. Doing one without the other will not cut it. You need both. I can not stress this enough, when you diet please form a plan. Do not just make up a meal as you go along. This could spell disaster for you. You should put yourself on a meal schedule and stick to it. I believe it is okay to go with a six and one plan. That is six days of dieting with one day off. You can diet Monday-Saturday, then take Sunday to enjoy yourself. To relax and enjoy your favorite food. This could prove to be very beneficial to your long term dieting plans.

Diet Sample
Breakfast
1 bowl of oatmeal with 2 hard-boiled eggs
Snack
1 Packet of nuts
Lunch
Tuna fish and cooked shrimps with any dips of your choice.
Snack 2
Ox tail soup or breadless cheeseburger.
Dinner
Roast beef served with a large bowl of salad and a plate of berries (strawberries and blueberries) for dessert
Remember, along with the dieting you must get the proper exercise. Do lots of cardio. To see the best results, each exercise session should last 30 minutes to lose fat. Continuous cardio exercise such as walking, jogging, cycling or stair climbing should help tremendously. There is no set time for you to exercise. Just do it. You will burn fat whenever you exercise. However, to maximize your efforts it is suggested that you perform your cardio exercise early morning, before eating. You may find it difficult to get up some mornings to exercise, but you must stay motivated. Keep pushing yourself. Just imagine how good you will feel once you reach your goal. You will be more confident in yourself. You will attract the opposite sex. You will have increased levels of energy. You will most likely feel like a new person.

Choosing a Fitness Center that is Right for You

So you have finally made the commitment to get in better shape and part of your plan is joining a fitness center? Great! Now, how do you go about choosing the right one for you? There are many factors that you should consider. After all, the membership won't help you reach your fitness or weight loss goal if you don't actually use it. Before signing a contract or paying the membership fee, be sure that you consider such factors as location, quality of equipment, activities offered, hours of operation, cost and availability of childcare. All of these can have a significant effect on how much you end up using and enjoying your membership.
As with any other major purchase, you should comparison shop by visiting all the fitness centers that are within the geographical region that you are considering. Before visiting, make a list of things that are important to you such as child care or aerobics classes so that you don't forget to ask about those things. Call each center and ask if they give free tours for prospective members and tell them you'd like to make an appointment. Try to schedule your visit during the time of day that you will most likely be working out so that you can see how busy it will be during that time.

Some things you should look for while visiting a prospective fitness center are the knowledge of the staff and how helpful and friendly they are, the condition as well as the variety of the equipment and how clean and well maintained does it appear to be. Also, how well do you fit in with the other members and is that something that concerns you? For example if you are just looking to lose a few pounds and get in a little better shape but the majority of the clientele are serious body builders, will you feel out of place? Is the general atmosphere relaxed? What type of music if any do they play and do you like it? Do they offer televisions and earphones? All of these factors which may not seem that important could end up having a big effect on how much you enjoy and use your membership. If you are not sure if the gym is for you, ask if they offer a free trail membership. Many fitness centers will give you a week's pass so you can see if you want to join.
If you like group activities then be sure to ask about things like the availability of group aerobics, spinning or other types of classes. Some gyms offer tanning, personal training and even massage as extra services available on location although there is usually an additional fee for those. If you are interested in any of those types of extra services, be sure to inquire about them and find out the costs.
If you are a parent and will need childcare, that is another important factor in deciding on a gym. Be sure to ask if they provide child care as part of your membership fee and what hours it is available. Ask to see the childcare area and find out the qualifications of the people who will be caring for your children. Meet them and be sure you would be comfortable leaving your child in their care.
Location and the hours the gym is open are two more consideration. If the gym is close to your home or located on your way home from work, you will be more likely to go. Make sure they are open at the time that you want to work out. Some gyms are open 24 hours and issue swipe cards for members to be able to get in at any time. Others are open only certain hours.
A gym or fitness centre membership can be costly and in some cases means a 2 year contract, so like any other investment of money, be sure that you thoroughly investigate what you will be getting for your investment. You do not want to end up paying for something that you don't use
