2 Shoulder Routines to Get the Best Shoulder Workout Guaranteed

If you're trying to get that sculptured and shredded upper body, you must have well developed shoulder muscles. Having lean, cut and thick shoulder muscles will give you that v-shape physique that every bodybuilder is looking for. The good news here? Finding the best shoulder workout, to build bigger shoulders takes just minutes a week.
Almost all serious bodybuilders will admit that big robust shoulders make the most important contribution towards how your upper body looks.
Your shoulder muscles are essentially divided into three parts, the font ( anterior ), the middle ( medial ) and the back ( posterior ). These three muscles are accountable for all rotational movements made by your arms.
Now it is possible to exercise all 3 parts of your shoulder muscles with only 2 different exercises, a shoulder raise and an overhead press.
Shoulder Workout

The biggest thing to remember here is that the one exercise that's most difficult for building bigger shoulders is the overhead press. The stimulating and powerful overhead press exercise can't be matched as far as effectiveness. It is better to use a dumbbell for the overhead press but a barbell will work as well but is not as effective.
Using dumbbells gives you an even shoulder workout because one of your shoulders cannot cheat and compensate for the other one. The full stress and stimulation is on the shoulders rather than on the upper chest as with the barbells.
When you are doing your overhead press with dumbbells make sure the seat has a back for support. Press up the dumbbells all the way up to the ceiling just shy of locking your elbows. When you lower the weights, bring them back down only to shoulder level and then back up again.
This next shoulder exercise is named the side lateral raise. This works the medial head of the shoulder muscle. This is going to be the best shoulder workout for widening our upper body and giving you that v-shape.
Here's how to do that shoulder workout. Stand with your knees shoulder length apart and a touch bent. Grab a pair of dumbbells with your palms facing inward. Keep your arms a little bent as well. Raise your arms to your shoulder level and then back down again.
These two exercises will give you the best shoulder workout ever. It's important to remember that there isn't any need for lots of other shoulder exercises. These 2 will give you the most bang for your buck as far as strength and size go.
Many of us forget that our shoulders get worked as a side-product of many of the other exercises we're doing at the gymnasium. What has a tendency to happen is that they overwork their shoulder muscles and obstruct their progress as a result.
There's no need to isolate the anterior or posterior shoulder muscles. The explanation is that the anterior muscles get stimulated while doing bench press exercises while the posterior shoulder muscles get stimulated while doing seated rows for your back.
Shoulder muscles respond more to the standard of the workout rather than the quantity. Make sure to remember that.
Here are a pair routines that may give you the best shoulder workout ever.
Shoulder exercise routine 1:
Seated Overhead Dumbbell Press two sets of 5-7 reps
Standing Dumbbell Side Laterals 1-2 sets of 10-12 reps
Since I know you will potentially continue doing isolation exercises for the anterior and posterior heads for awhile, take a look at the following routine.
Shoulder Routine 2:
Standing Dumbbell Side Laterals 1-2 sets of 10-12 reps
Seated Rear Lateral Dumbbell Raise one set of 10-12 reps
Standing Front Dumbbell Raise 1 set of 10-12 reps
Seated Overhead Dumbbell Press 2 sets of 5-7 reps
That shoulder workout is really all you will ever need right there!
This isn't a time to slack. You want to push it to total muscle failure if you wan to see results. Make sure that you cannot do another rep without messing up your form. Also make efforts to keep your progress in a log book to trace progress and results. Remember what gets tracked gets measured.

The Best Muscle Building Supplements in the Market

Strength training is an essential aspect of any balanced fitness program. It can help a great deal in slowing down muscle loss that often comes with age. The training helps to build the strength of connective tissues & muscle, increase bone density, ease arthritis pain and minimize risks of injury. Therefore, strength training is important, not only for the muscles but the bones as well. It helps to prevent many bone problems, like osteoporosis.
According to research, muscle building helps to improve balance, reduce chances of falling, improve blood sugar levels, and improve mental health and sleep. Furthermore, it helps to burn calories, even after the workout is done. Apart from strength training exercises, many practitioners are incorporating muscle building supplements in their fitness program.
The Best Muscle Building Supplements

Muscle Building Supplements
Many practitioners opt for the best muscle building supplements for purposes of nourishing their bodies and improving their muscle mass. Supplements also help to improve body performance during the workout. There are many muscle building supplements available in the market, including testosterone boosters, Creatine supplements, whey protein powder, nitric oxide supplements and glutamine supplements.
  1. Testosterone Boosters: This supplement helps to boost energy and aggression, both of which help to increase strength and endurance. As a result, the practitioner is able to engage in a more intense workout.

  2. Creatine Supplements: Creatine helps to supply muscles with energy, as well as endurance. Creatine supplements have been designed specially to help improve resistance, allowing for longer and intense workouts.

  3. Whey Protein Powder: Protein powder helps to supply proteins and amino acids required by the body to reduce muscle breakdown and improve muscle growth.

  4. Nitric Oxide Supplement: Nitric Oxide is a useful gas that helps to supply the body with increased growth and endurance. This is made possible by improving blood flow to and fro the muscles.

  5. Glutamine: Glutamine is an important amino acid required by the body during workout. Therefore, glutamine supplement helps with the recovery of muscles, while allowing for greater growth of the muscles. This helps a great deal in reducing muscle degeneration.
Choice of Muscle Building Supplements
The number of building supplements available in the market are large and growing. However, these supplements are different, often working in different ways. Furthermore, different supplements offer different benefits and side effects. For example, supplements that are normally added to caffeine can speed up the heart rate. Creatine supplements have a tendency of dehydrating the body, as a result of increased water retention. Testosterone boosters, on the other hand, can lead to increased aggression and acne.

Best Supplements For Muscle Gain [Part 2]

In a recent article I explained how certain supplements are safe and useful, but not entirely necessary. You also discovered that you need to get your nutrition (and workouts) in order first before you even think about supplements.
Let's assume that you have a good nutrition plan in place and that you're lifting weights several times per week. What supplements should you be taking to build muscle? Read on for some popular choices.
TIP: Don't blindly take the following supplements just because they're on my list. You need to first assess your own nutrition, workout program and goals. If, for example, you're confident your diet is varied enough to give you all the vitamins and minerals you need, then don't worry about taking a vitamin.
Taking any supplement is an individual choice. Don't take it if you don't need it.
Here are my top five supplements for beginners:
Best Supplements For Muscle Gain

Multi-vitamin
If you've cut your calories in order to lose weight, then ther's a good chance that you're not eating a wide variety of foods. And that means you may not be getting all the vitamins and minerals you need. This is particularly true if you cook most of your vegetables, by doing this you destroy a good portion of the vitamins and nutrients.
If you think your diet is lacking, the best thing to do is to correct it by getting more variety. Getting your nutrients from whole foods is better than getting it via a pill. But if you can't correct it - if for whatever reasonyour calories are temporarily lowered - then take a good multi vitamin.
Egg-White Protein
Earlier we talked about how people who lift weights need more protein than the average person. Some bodybuilders eat up to a gram per pound of bodyweight. Now if you've started counting your protein grams, you might soon realize that you'd be eating an awful lot of chicken breast and egg whites.
The solution? Supplement with egg-white protein. Plus, since egg-white protein can be absorbed and utilized by your body very quickly, egg white protein is the best source of protein to intake directly after a workout.
Creatine
Some people think creatine monohydrate is a steroid. It's not. Creatine is found in your regular diet, especially in red meat.
So why take it? Because it helps you recover and it helps with things like endurance. In other words, it can give you the energy you need to give it your all in the gym, which in turn helps you shed fat and build muscle more quickly and easily.
A word of warning, however: If you take creatine, you'll need to drink more water.
L-Glutamine
This amino acid is already in your body, and it's responsible for things like strength and stamina. Problem is, when you work out hard (such as when you lift weights), your l-glutamine stores are depleted. That's why you may consider supplementing with glutamine to see if you don't have more endurance in the gym.
Fish Oil
Earlier you learned about the importance of getting enough essential fatty acids. One of the best sources of these good fats is fish oil. If you're not eating fish regularly - and if your diet is lacking in essentially fatty acids - then you may want to take a fish oil supplement.
That's it for this time.
To your fitness success,

Best Supplements For Muscle Gain - Part 1

In recent articles, we've covered quite a bit about nutrition. At this point, you might be wondering about supplements more specifically. You might even have questions like:
  • Do you need supplements?
  • Do supplements work?
  • Are supplements safe?
  • What are the best supplements for muscle gain?
  • Do You Need Supplements For Muscle Gain or Weight Loss?
Here's the short answer: No.
You can lose weight and gain muscle without them. However, that doesn't mean that supplements aren't helpful. And that doesn't mean you shouldn't take them. It just means that they aren't 100% necessary.
Now let me be clear about something. When I'm referring to supplements, I'm referring to 100% legal dietary supplements and similar items. For example, whey protein is a common bodybuilding supplement, and one that you'll likely find useful as well.
Best Supplements

I am NOT, however, referring to illegal supplements like steroids or banned diet pills. Those sorts of supplements come with a lot of nasty side effects. For example, those who don't know what they're doing with steroids may have to deal with nasty side effects like rage ('roid rage), the development of "man boobs," acne, liver problems, baldness, sterility... and the list goes on.
Point is, we're not going to deal with those types of supplements. And you don't want them anyway, since you're not going for the look where your arms are bigger than most people's thighs. You want to attract women, not have them running away, screaming in horror!
Instead, we'll focus on dietary supplements. But here's the thing...
Before you even start thinking about supplements to gain muscle or lose weight, you need to get your nutrition in order. If you're not eating a good balance of protein, carbohydrates and essential fatty acids, then there's no need for you to supplement. You might even be throwing your money away if you're supplementing but not eating right.
So clean up your diet and seek out healthy food first... then later you can think about supplements.
  • Are Supplements Magic Bullets?
No. Supplements of any kind don't work unless you do!
Sure, the ads on TV tell a different story. For example, just start paying attention to all those weight loss pills. Here you have people with toned, beautiful bodies who are supposedly taking the diet pills. And the suggestion is that all they had to do was pop a pill and the fat magically melted off.
Of course it doesn't work that way. And if you pay attention to the fine print (or whatever the announcer says really fast at the end of the commercial), you'll see that the pill only works as part of a nutrition and exercise program.
Check it out: If you put in place a good nutrition and exercise program, then you probably don't need the pill!
  • Are Supplements Safe?
If they're dietary supplements (such as whey protein), then yes... they're very safe. Basically, they're just like food.
For all other supplements, you need to check the label and do your research. And if you're taking any herbs, keep in mind that people who have allergies to things like ragweed may have allergic reactions to herbs.
That's it for this time. Remember not to rely on the supplement and more on your own physical effort. Next time you'll find out which supplements I do recommend. See you soon!

The 10 Best Shoulder Building Exercises for Bodybuilding Beginners

For most guys, the biceps are the undisputed king of muscle! But what good is a king without a crown? If you want GUNS that get respect at the beach and on the street, you've got to crown them with cannon ball deltoid development! For big, muscular shoulders that'll produce personal pride and physical power, keep reading because I've got the 10 best beginning exercises for you right here.
1. Seated Front Military Press
Your shoulders consist mainly of 2 muscle groups, the trapezius and the deltoids. The trapezius or "traps" are the two large triangular shaped muscles that run across each shoulder from the back of your neck. Your deltoids or "delts" are the thick, triangular shaped muscles that cover your shoulder joints at the top of each arm. The deltoids consist of 3 sections known as the anterior, medial and posterior heads. For balanced deltoid development, you must train each section equally.
Best Shoulder Building Exercises
The front military press is a great starter exercise for building the anterior or front section of your delts. You can perform this exercise from a standing or seated position. For beginners, I recommend the seated position, preferably in a chair that has low back support to prevent arching or hyperextension of your spine. With proper technique, this basic military press will add thickness and power to the front of your shoulders. As you advance in your training, you should eventually graduate from this exercise to the dumbbell shoulder press.
2. Barbell Front Raises
This exercise is great for building shape and endurance in your anterior delts. Since barbell front raises put tremendous resistance on the front of your shoulders, you should not attempt to do this exercise with heavy weight. Moderate poundage with strict technique (i.e., no bouncing or jerking the weight with your body) is sufficient to add strength and shape to your anterior delts. For variety, you can also do this exercise with a straight bar attachment to a low cable apparatus.
Whether you use a barbell or low cable machine, you must stand with your arms straight as you raise the bar forward from the front of your thighs to a position parallel to the floor at about shoulder height. To put secondary resistance on your rear delts and traps, raise the bar slightly above shoulder height. It won't take long to feel the burn from this exercise, but the payoff in deltoid development is well worth it.
3. Seated Reverse Dumbbell Press
The reverse dumbbell press, aka the "Arnold Press" is another terrific shoulder builder for your anterior delts. When done properly, this exercise also puts concentrated resistance on the upper portion of your traps. You can do the reverse dumbbell press with both arms pressing the weights simultaneously or by alternating each arm. In either event, I suggest that you do this exercise in a seated position with good back support to avoid injury.
To do this exercise, hold 2 dumbbells at shoulder height with your palms facing you. Keep your back straight and don't bounce or jerk your body as you slowly press the dumbbells overhead. As you press the weight upward, rotate your wrists so that your hands face forward at the top of each lift. Return the dumbbells to the starting position as you lower them after each rep. If you've never done this exercise before, start with weight that you can easily balance and control and progress to heavier poundage when you've mastered your training technique. Take my word, the results will be awesome!
4. Dumbbell Front Raises
Like barbell front raises, the dumbbell version of this exercise puts extreme resistance on the front of your shoulders. In addition to building the anterior deltoids, front dumbbell raises put secondary but significant stress on the medial deltoid head. The mechanics of this exercise are basically the same as with barbell front raises. You must stand with your arms straight as you raise the dumbbells forward from the front of your thighs to a position parallel to the floor at about shoulder height. Again, due to the extreme level of training resistance that front raises produce, you should not attempt to do this exercise with heavy weight. Moderate poundage with strict form will give you great results.
5. Behind-The-Neck-Military Press
The "behind-the-neck" or rear military press is a solid mass builder for the medial deltoid or middle shoulder area. Like the front military press, you can perform this exercise from a standing or seated position. Again, I recommend that you do your military presses in a chair with lower back support to avoid arching or hyperextension of your spine. The seated position also helps to stabilize your torso so you won't jerk the weight upward and cheat on technique. As with all overhead lifting, go slow, master your training technique and the rear military press will add mass, power and symmetry to the middle portion of your shoulders.
6. Dumbbell Lateral Raises
Nothing beats dumbbell lateral raises for targeting the medial head of your delts. And this is another shoulder exercise that provides great results without using excessively heavy weight. With your arms at your sides, grasp a dumbbell in each hand. Slowly raise your arms outward and upward until the dumbbells reach shoulder height in a position that parallels the floor. Return to the starting position. To work the medial delts from every possible angle, vary your workouts by doing some sets with your hands at your sides, some sets with your hands slightly in front of your thighs, and some sets with your hands behind your hips. This exercise is great for adding the shoulder girth necessary to beef up your V taper.
7. Single Arm Cable Lateral Raises
This exercise is a good substitute for dumbbell lateral raises for variety or when dumbbells may not be available to you. Except for the fact that you alternately train each shoulder, the mechanics of this exercise are basically the same as with the dumbbell version. With your arm at your side, simply grasp a low cable handle and slowly raise your arm outward and upward until the handle reaches shoulder height in a position that parallels the floor. Return to the starting position. For maximum effectiveness, you should vary your workouts by starting some sets with your hand at your side, some sets with your hand in front of your thighs, and some sets with your hand behind your hips.
8. Seated Two-Armed Dumbbell Rows
Unless you focus on training your rear delts, it's easy to forget about them and end up with unbalanced shoulder development. This happened to me years ago when I was still more or less in my infancy when it came to serious bodybuilding. At the time I was living and training in Montreal at "Winston's Gym," a bodybuilding powerhouse then owned by Canadian bodybuilding great, Winston Roberts. So one day I asked Winston what I should do to build mass into my rear delts.
Without hesitation he told me to sit on the edge of a flat bench, grab a dumbbell in each hand, lean forward to about 45 degrees and pull the dumbbells toward my torso as though to touch my elbows behind my back. Wow, did this work! My rear delts responded almost immediately to this new workout, and the "Seated Two-Armed Dumbbell Row" was born! To make sure that you fully develop each section of your deltoids, you've got to include this rear delt builder in your shoulder workouts.
9. Bent-Over Lateral Raises
This exercise also isolates the posterior deltoid area for full, symmetrical shoulder development. Stand with your feet about shoulder width apart and your knees slightly bent. Bend forward at the waist but keep your back straight and your head facing forward. Grasp a dumbbell in each hand with your elbows bent slightly and raise your arms outward and upward until the weight reaches shoulder height. Return to the starting position. For variety or if dumbbells aren't available, you can also do this exercise with a low cable machine.
10. Upright Rows
Finally, one of my all time favorite shoulder shapers, the upright row builds the entire deltoid area and I love the secondary biceps pump I get whenever I do this exercise. Just grab a barbell with an overhand and slightly wider than shoulder width grip. If you're using a cambered or EZ Curl Bar, use the wide grip hand position. Raise your arms and pull the bar upward until it nearly touches your chin. To put more resistance on your traps, try pulling your elbows up a little beyond shoulder height as you complete each rep. Return to the starting position. I'm continually amazed at how seldom I see anyone doing this exercise. But you've got to do upright rows if you're serious about building big, muscular shoulders.
Well, that's it - my Top 10 list of shoulder-building exercises for beginning bodybuilders. Try them, have fun with them, and make sure that you use safe amounts of weight and proper training technique with every exercise.

Best Bodybuilding Back Workout For Lat Width

If you are looking for a bodybuilding back workout to increase the width of your back, this is the perfect article for you. I will discuss the best bodybuilding back workouts for gaining width to your Lat muscles including the exercises of bent barbell row, one arm dumbbell rows, and pulley cable wide grip row.
Bent Barbell Row:
Bent Barbell Row: As you may already know it is best to perform compound exercises in the beginning of your training sessions of course after you have fully and completely warmed up. Your grip will vary depending on what part of the lat muscle you wish to target and work the most. Over hand grip will concentrate more on the upper lats and middle back while under hand grip emphasizes the lower lats. To obtain overall development of your back, I suggest you vary your grips often if not week to week.
One Arm Barbell Row: These are one of my favorite workouts for adding width to my back. The reason being is because this movement allows for a complete stretch at the bottom and contraction at the top with mainly only the lat muscle doing all the work. Since this is more of an isolation movement of the lats, try to focus on all three parts of each repetition (eccentric, concentric, and isocentric).
One Arm Barbell Row:
Pulley Cable Wide Grip: For these I like to use the lat pull down bar and take a little wider than shoulder width grip. This will ensure I am focusing on the lats and less on the middle portion of the back.
Pulley Cable Wide Grip
This is a sample bodybuilding back workout that will help you add some with to your lats.

Whey Protein When you lift weight, you are tearing your muscle fibers and in order for them to be built back bigger and stronger you need to eat protein. Whey protein presents an incredibly great solution as it is both a high quality protein and it is really cost effective as well - the average whey bucket contains around 80 servings. Whey is also easy to store and easy to take as all you need is some water or milk and simply shake. The best time to take a whey shake is when you have no food available to eat, this usually happens after a training session. There are 2 main types of whey - isolate and concentrate. Isolate is a purer form of protein and is quick absorbing while concentrate is a mixture of different types of whey and is slower to digest - generally after training you want to drink isolate and before bedtime you want to drink concentrate.

MultiVitamin/MultiMineral This has to easily be the most overlooked supplement when it comes to gaining muscle. Taking a quality multivitamin is essential as your body is going to go through much stress through your exercise routine and needs the right balance of nutrients in order to both grow and recover properly. Generally you want to look for a multivitamin that is a bit lower in iron as you will probably be getting a sufficient amount from the foods you are eating.

Creatine Much light has come onto creatine as of late as it has the ability to both increase size and strength in those who take it with significant increases in lean muscle mass as well as increased recovery rates and improved energy levels. There are many different types of creatines such as liquide creatine, creatine powder and even a newer version of creatine called Kre-Alkalyne. Creatine is without a doubt the most popular bodybuilding supplement.

BCAA Branch Chained Amino Acids (BCAA) are some of the best supplements you can take as they are essential amino acids (meaning they are not made in the body) and will lead to building high quality muscular tissue. BCAA's are leucine, isoleucine and valine and offer the richest source of amino acids available. BCAA's can be taken in powder or by pill and are great for post workout recovery.

Glutamine Also known as L-Glutamine, this is one the most abundant amino acid found in your body and is found in most forms of protein. When you workout, you use up your l-glutamine in protein metabolism, this is why people who exercise often need to supplement with glutamine so that your body never suffers from glutamine depletion. Glutamine is essential to recovery as well as immune system function. Aim for a quality glutamine powder to take with your post workout shake and before you go to bed.

Nitric Oxide (NO2) Have you ever wanted to keep up you pump after a good workout, well if so there is a supplement that will help you do so - Nitric Oxide (NO2). NO2 does this by increasing blood flow to your muscles which not only leaves you looking pumped but helps well needed nutrients get to your muscles better and faster than normal.
ZMA If you are looking for a pill that can really help you recover from hard training sessions, aid in tissue repair and healing, increase hormone production and even aid in muscular growth that you need to check out ZMA - which is an exact formula of both zinc and magnesium. Try taking this towards bedtime and you will see some great results within a few weeks.
These bodybuilding supplements are great if you want to quickly gain muscle [http://www.busydiet.com] and see your body building efforts skyrocket. You should always check with your doctor before taking any type of pill or supplements and only buy from reputable stores. Always remember to drink plenty of water, workout and follow a strict diet plan as without doing so you will not see the results you want to.

What Are The 4 Best Bodybuilding Supplements For Skinny Guys?

What are the best bodybuilding supplements for hardgainers? It can be such a dismay when you're too scrawny and people don't believe that you train for 5 days a week. You're supposed to be buff, but what's the glitch? Genetics may be a factor in you being too skinny, but fret not because you are not alone. There's hope, absolutely and you can actually sport a lean and mean really jacked body like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine!
You're thinking that bodybuilding supplements must be the key to having a perfectly muscular physique, but be wary. There are loads of bodybuilding supplements sold in supermarkets and in online stores that overpromise you huge muscular gains that could have you winning your first bodybuilding competition. But having a lean and mean buff body isn't about supplements alone. Supplements are only 10% responsible in having a really muscular body. You have to complement it with training, diet and your overall lifestyle. If you're looking for the right supplement, you have to first affirm the fact that you are a hardgainer. Experts advice that you adhere to the right program, which basically ought to be your lifestyle.
Best Bodybuilding Supplements

You can't actually say that you're taking the best protein supplement because you won't see any significant changes if you're not eating protein-rich foods every 3 hours. There's no point sticking to pricey pre-workout and post workout supplements if you're not consuming the right amount of calories. You also should have enough sleep every night, and that's for 8 hours. If you're boozing every night, don't expect your testo booster to work wonders. Eat about 10 servings of fruits and veggies everyday and take your multivitamins.
Consider that your bodybuilding supplements can only be as efficient as they can be when you combine it with enough training and eating a healthy diet. Here are 4 of the best bodybuilding supplements for hardgainers:
  • Creatine- You're misled if you think creatine will make you grow muscle mass. What can creatine do for you? Creatine will help you with your training by replenishing creatine phosphate, a compound that's loaded with high energy. The muscles need creatine phosphate so that they keep contracting when you're doing high intensity lifting. You're going to keep lifting if you've taken sufficient amounts o creatine. Creatine supplements bridge the gap between your workouts and your high-creatine diet.

  • Protein Powder- You have to eat a protein-rich diet if you want to grow muscles, but your diet may fall short of your protein needs, that's why you should take protein powder supplements. It's convenient to take protein powder before working out, while working out and after working out. However, be sure that you're eating enough solid food meals along with your protein powder supplement. Your supplement won't do the job alone.

  • Glutamine- When you work out, your muscles get stressed, and this is where glutamine does its work in replenishing your stressed muscles. Your body actually produces glutamine, however it may fall short of your needs. Glutamine supplementation can boost your glutamine supply. It increases the ability of your muscles to recover after lifting weights.

  • A Greens Product- You basically have to eat more if you're bodybuilding, and there are times when you'll have trouble taking in so much food. In this case, look for calorie-dense foods to provide for your diet. Eating vegetables won't suffice either because it makes you feel fuller without providing the right amount of calories. But vitamins and minerals from veggies are essential for your bodybuilding program, so you can take a greens product as supplement. Doing so gives you a nutritional assurance for your muscle gaining goals.

Best Protein for Building Muscles - Whey Protein As a Muscle Builder

Whey protein is always a hot topic in every gym. It is the so-called best protein for muscle building. Let us take a good look at whey protein as a muscle builder in this piece of information.
Whey is one of the protein sources in milk. When milk is processed to become cheese, the high quality protein whey is filtered out.  But why is it so valuable for building muscles?
Whey is a muscle builder protein. This is because it is readily digested and used by the body. It has high biological value, the measure of how efficient the body can absorb and utilize a certain protein. In fact, whey has one of the highest biological values among all proteins.

Whey is also rich in amino acids that are essential for the development of new muscle mass as well as the maintenance of it. These supplements are cost-efficient ways to supply sufficient amounts of these amino acids to the muscles.
Without you probably knowing it, whey is also a good way to boost the immune system. This is important because weight lifting and resistance training can cause the immune system to be weakened. To counter diseases, the protein supplement can raise the levels of glutathione, an antioxidant produced by the cells. This has a positive impact to the immune system.
With the above reasons, this protein is worth all the praises from nutritional experts and successful people who have gained the muscles. Whey protein is, indeed, a must-have for individuals who are serious in bulking up and building serious muscles.

5 Amazing Shoulder Workouts

Having those firm, rounded, toned shoulders is not the easiest task in the world especially if you really don't know exactly what to do. Being pregnant has completely changed my workout routine in what I can and cannot do so I do a lot of high repetitions with low weight. To achieve really rounded, defined shoulders you need to hit your deltoids, upper trapezius, serratus anterior, rotator cuff muscles, and levator scapulae. I have compiled a list of my favorite shoulder workouts to help you get started on your quest for more defined shoulders so let's get started.
1) Seated Shoulder Press
While being seated on a military press bench that is in an upright position, take a dumbbell in each hand and set in an upright position on your thighs. Lift each weight (one at a time is best) to shoulder height and with palms facing front, push the dumbbells upward over your head until they touch at the top.

2) Standing Dumbbell Fly
While standing, hold a dumbbell in each hand by your sides and swing the weights up a few inches without using your trap muscles to shrug.
3) Cble Face Pulla
Using a rope handle to use at the cable station, put the cable all the way to the top and attach the handle. Holding the end of each rope, make sure palms are facing each other, and pull towards your forehead with your rear delts, and back fully activated. Hold this position for a few extra seconds and repeat.
4) One Armed Side Lateral Raises
Holding a dumbbell, position it in front of your pelvis with your elbow bent slightly. With your free hand, hold onto something such as the military bench for support and bend over with knees slightly bent. Raise your arm until it reaches shoulder height and then lower and repeat.
5) Front Plate Raise
Standing with your legs apart, hold onto the plate with both hands and raise until your arms are parallel to the ground. I do these with a ten pound plate and I do these slow and controlled to really feel my shoulders burn. Another tip for doing these raises is to not use your body to hoist the plate into the air taking the emphasis off the actual muscle your working out.
